La Romieu, one of the most beautiful villages of France!

You can choose whether to relax in peace and quiet on your pitch or to be active and enjoy the campsite sports facilities.

An active holiday in the Gers

Although the Castel Camping Le Camp de Florence is a destination chosen for peace and quiet away from the noise and bustle of the cities, this does not mean that there is nothing to do, quite the contrary. On the campsite you will find all you need for an active family holiday. In addition to the splendid Camp de Florence swimming pool complex, there are several sports fields including football, volleyball and basketball. You can also practice your backhand on the tennis court and enjoy making new friends playing petanque. Why not try speedminton, a variant of badminton? In July and August, the campsite entertainment team organizes a variety of sports tournaments. You won't have time to be bored during your camping holiday in the Gers.

You can also take advantage of the "Parc Animalier" on the campsite and discover our beautiful Alpacas!

The rolling hills and valleys of Gascony are a paradise for lovers of walking and cycling. To help you discover the secrets of this authentic region, the campsite guide will accompany you for weekly hikes (June to mid-September). Walking and cycling maps may be borrowed from reception and it is possible to hire tandem and mountain bikes.

The village of La Romieu is only 500m from the campsite. It was founded in the 11th century by pilgrims on the Saint Jacques de Compostelle pilgrim route. The 14th century Collegiate church (UNESCO world monument), is superb and a visit is not to be missed. Have you heard the legend of the cats ?

In the evening meet up with friends and family to enjoy the entertainment and activities on the terrace (theme evenings from June to mid-September and quizzes, dance evenings, concerts etc, in July and August) or in the bar to watch sporting events on large screen television. Unless you would rather play billiards and table football in the games room.
